Men's rowing defeated by strong UW crews

The OSU novice boat came in third in their race behind UW and Gonzaga.
“The second varsity had solid race,” said assistant coach Steve Todd. “They can really work out a couple more things in the coming week before Pac-10s next Sunday to put up what I feel can be a very good showing. And the freshman got beat by a very, very good Washington crew and had a very strong race against Gonzaga. Gonzaga got up on us early, and we really charged back in the final 500 meters but came up less than a second short. The guys learned a little bit about how hard you have to race if you fall behind and have to dash back at the end.”
