Eugene, Ore. – In the team’s last meet before Pac-10s, redshirt freshman Elise Aschwanden and juniors Katie Dye and Elise Megale all set personal records in the 1,500 meters at the Oregon Twilight at the University of Oregon.
Senior Jaime Fuller and freshman Samantha Godfrey also set personal records in the 5,000 meters.
Senior Julie Garcia was the top finisher for the Beavers in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.61, and senior Tara Stirewalt set a new personal best with a time of 2:22.00.
Sophomore Kaitlin Poggi had the top time for the team in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:33.50, and junior Katie Dye finished right behind her in 4:43.64.
And freshman Samantha Godfrey finished seventh overall in the 5,000 meters, with freshman Lorene Young and senior Jaime Fuller going eighth and ninth.
This was the defining meet of who would be competing in the Pac-10 Championships next weekend, also hosted by the University of Oregon.
