No. 18 OSU Men's Crew to Race in IRA Regatta - Oregon State University Athletics

The Oregon State men’s 18^th ranked Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Freshman Four crews are set for competition in Camden, N.J. for the IRA Championship Regatta. Competition begins Thursday and runs through Saturday. Oregon State will begin racing on the opening day with the V8 hitting the water first at 7:36 a.m.

“The boats are looking good,” Head Coach Fred Honebein said. “Everyone is looking fine. We were a little tired after we got back from the Pac-10s and so we just fell back, got some rest and starting building back up this week. We have been training in Philadelphia this week and things have been going really well. I'm feeling pretty good going into the races this weekend. There are twenty-four entries so this should be a lot of fun.”

The IRA Regatta is considered by many as the men’s national championship. The Varsity Eight finished ninth in last years regatta in Camden.
