Walnut Creek, Calif. – Eight Oregon State women’s track student-athletes have been named to Pac-10 All-Academic teams announced today by Commissioner Tom Hansen.
Five runners were named to the first team including seniors (Philomath, Ore./Philomath HS) and (Terrebonne, Ore./Radford Univ.), junior (Portland, Ore./Bowdoin Coll.) and sophomores (Bend, Ore./Mountain View HS) and (Gladstone, Ore./Gladstone HS).
And junior (Portland, Ore./Sunset HS) was the only Beaver named to the second team.
Sophomores (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita Monument HS) and (Seaside, Ore./Seaside HS) and redshirt freshman (Grants Pass, Ore./Grants Pass HS) all received honorable mention recognition.
To be eligible for selection to an academic team, the student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a significant contributor or starter on the team.
