Younce Finishes Ninth at NCAA West Regional - Oregon State University Athletics

Provo, Utah. – Junior finished just one spot out of scoring at the NCAA West Regional on Friday evening.

Younce was competing in the 5,000 meters in the outdoor track and field regional.

Times were quite a bit slower than regional qualifying times with Younce running nearly a minute slower than her personal record due to the course being run at a higher altitude (4,535 feet).

Jenna Kingma of Arizona State won the race with a time of 16:55.58.

This was the last race of the season for Younce after setting the school record in the 10,000 meters at the Pac-10 Championships two weeks ago, and also being the only Oregon State athlete to qualify for the regional competition.
