Windell Selected to Attend NCAA Leadership Conference - Oregon State University Athletics

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State’s was recently selected by NCAA representatives to attend the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference, May 28-June 1.

Windell, a junior middle blocker for the OSU volleyball team, was one of 1,319 student-athletes from 333 institutions to apply to attend the conference, which will be held at Disney’s Yacht Beach Club Resort at Buena Vista, Fla.

Windell, who was recently chosen as a Pac-10 Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) co-chair, is one of 352 student-athletes to be requested to attend the function.

The conference includes daily speaker panels, student-athlete presentations and a SAAC session surrounding the topic of leadership in athletics. The goal of the conference is to help student-athletes enhance their leadership skills and to help find ways to get campuses and institutes better involved with the NCAA.
