Oregon State’s volleyball team completes its spring season with a match against in-state rival Portland State Thursday evening at 5:30 at Gill Coliseum.
OSU takes on the Vikings in the last of four matches scheduled for the Beavers this spring. Oregon State has previously played against a pair of women’s club teams at area high schools in the past two weeks. OSU also faced Beavers of the past with an alumni match.
The Beavers, who return 10 letterwinners, and 11 players in all, from the 2005 squad face their toughest competition of the spring in Portland State. The Vikings finished second in the Big West Conference in 2005 finishing with an overall record of 21-9.
However, Oregon State beat PSU in four games 2005 in OSU’s first tournament of the year. led four Beavers in double digit kills with 14 and five blocks and added 13.
