Women's Cross Country Nationally Recognized for Academics

Corvallis, Ore. - The Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association has recognized the Oregon State University women's program as having the 34th highest grade point average in the nation out of 116 Division I teams.
The roster achieved a 3.49 cumulative GPA for fall term, the second highest in the Pac-10 Conference behind
The ranking only includes the active members competing during the cross country season. Three student-athletes redshirted the 2005 season whose GPAs were all 3.90 or higher, which would have boosted the team’s overall placement nationally.
Ten members of the team were honored for their achievements in the classroom by the Pac-10 Conference in mid-November.
