Kyle DeVan Named to Rimington Trophy Watch List - Oregon State University Athletics

Oregon State University junior football center has been named to the Dave Rimington Trophy spring watch list. The Rimington Trophy, in its seventh year, recognizes the premier collegiate center in the game.

DeVan started all 11 games last season and is part of a unit that returns all five starters on the offensive line for the 2006 season. The 6-2 294-pound Vacaville, Calif., native is one of 39 student-athletes on the list.

The recipient is selected by determining the consensus All-American center pick from the American Football Coaches Association, the Walter Camp Foundation, the Sporting News and the Football Writers Association of America. The winner will be honored at the Rimington Award banquet at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Neb., in January.

The Rimington Trophy is hosted by the Boomer Esiason Foundation and is named after two-time consensus first team All-American Dave Rimington (1981, ’82) from the University of Nebraska.
