Leibinger Selected to All-Region Team - Oregon State University Athletics

Oregon State women's rower Caroline Leibinger was among the honorees when the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its 2006 All-Region teams Monday.

The awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers from each of the five Division I regions, organized into first and second-team selections.

A first team selection, Leibinger (Neu-Ulm, Germany) is the first Oregon State rower to earn the honor since 2004 when Julia White-Hoppe earned her second such honor. Leibinger is the third rower from OSU that has earned the prestigious award.

Leibinger, a junior, is one of only two Beavers to ever row in the varsity eight as a freshman. Leibinger rowed the stroke seat for the V8 which ranked as high as 16thin 2006.
