Student-Athlete Talent Show Scheduled
Acts scheduled at this time include men's soccer player Lucas Egenwall singing and playing the guitar, baseball player Mitch Canham singing his latest hip-hop song, a piano duet by the women’s swim team, a comedy act by men’s basketball’s Calvin Hampton, a skit and song by the women’s cross country and track team, video performance by the women’s softball team, a juggling act by Mitch Gillis and Jonathan Green of the men’s golf team, and a “girl band” by the women’s soccer team. All teams will be represented and there will be a surprise act by the coaching staff. Gillis will be the co-master of ceremonies.
“This event has been four years in the making; each year our student-athletes have displayed several creative talents off their respective fields of play,” Student Athlete Advisory Committee President Mitch Gillis said. “I’m very excited to see the Beavers hidden talents of 2006”.
Tickets for the event are $5, $3 for OSU students with school identification, and $1 for children 18 and under. Tickets will be available the day of the event only. There will also be a silent auction.
