OSU Gymnasts to Walk in Relay for Life This Weekend

The Oregon State Gymnastics team is set to participate in the Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society Friday, May 19.
Members of the gymnastics program will take turns walking around OSU’s Memorial Union quad from 6 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday in an effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Beavers have set a goal to raise $2,000 for the fight against cancer. This is the second year in a row that OSU’s gymnasts have participated in the Relay for Life.
“I have been involved through my family,” said Claire Pierce, whose cousin died of colon cancer. “I thought that the Relay for Life would be fun with the whole team. It was really fun last year... not just the walking but there are lots of activities too.”
