2006: Marcel returns to the program for his senior year after spending two terms at Linn-Benton Community College in nearby Albany...participated in spring practice...one of the more dependable receivers in the program at the end of the 2004 season...should be a favorite target of the quarterbacks. 2005: Missed the season and effectively redshirted. 2004: Marcel’s contributions expanded throughout the season as he became more familiar with the offense...third on the team for receptions with 40...made a career-high six receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown in the annual Civil War vs. Oregon...had games of five catches vs. New Mexico, at Washington, vs. Washington State and vs. USC...did not make a reception in the season opener at LSU, but then made at least one over the next 11 games...started all 12 games...had a career-high 96 yards in receiving at Washington...scored on an eight-yard reception vs. USC, giving OSU a 13-0 second quarter lead. CCSF: Marcel played for head coach George Rush...caught 44 passes for 691 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore, and helped CCSF to a 12-0 season and the California Junior College title...in three playoff games he caught 17 passes for four touchdowns...named the team’s co-Offensive MVP and earned first team All-NorCal League honors...he caught 38 passes for 540 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman...started 23 consecutive games. GALILEO: Marcel lettered four years as a wide receiver and defensive back for head coach Kevin Adams...over his final three seasons he accounted for 54 receptions for 1,150 yards...he was the conference’s MVP as a senior...also excelled in track as a member of the relay team and as a long jumper...was the conference long jump champion.
