2006: James redshirted as a junior college transfer...also played tight end during spring practice due to the lack of players at the position...injured a knee late in spring ball, forcing him to miss the last several practices.

CITY COLLEGE: Played tight end for the national championship team in 2003...played along side current Beaver teammate Marcel Love.

PERSONAL: Born in San Mateo, California...son of James and Meleana Otuhiva...has three siblings...lists drawing as his hobby...Jonah Lomu of the New Zealand Rugby Union is his favorite athlete...majoring in speech communication.
