Spring Game Saturday -- Ticket Information Included

Spring practice for the 2006 football season culminates this Saturday (April 29) with annual spring football game at Reser Stadium ( 1 p.m.). The event ends what has been arguably the best spring session for the football program in several years.
“This has been a great spring,” head coach said. “The team has practiced extremely well, and that was something I look for as much as anything.”
The team has been split up and will wear older Black and White game jerseys. Expect to see several players compete on both teams, including redshirt-freshman quarterback , junior cornerback Coye Francies, junior tailback Clinton Polk, sophomore safety , sophomore “H” back Dan Weis, sophomore tailback , junior tailback Andy Stewart, sophomore linebacker , senior tackle , sophomore guard , junior receiver and senior tight end ,.
The scrimmage will be played like a normal game for the first half, but will likely have a running clock in the second. The first team offense will compete against the second team defense, while the second team offense will challenge the first team defense.
“This should be the best way to have good competition,” Riley said. “There won’t be any coaches on the field; the guys can just go out there and play. It’s an elevated scrimmage in front of people and that is as good a preparation for a team as anything.”
The following student-athletes will not play due to injuries (LB), (RB), (CB), Cody Heller (LB), (OL/TE). Projected starting cornerback will not play due to a family commitment in
The game can be heard live over KEJO (1240 AM) in the mid-Willamette Valley and KKNX (840 AM) in
