Softball Garners Program Best #6 Ranking In ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oregon State's softball team moved up one position in the May 3 ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll to garner a No. 6 national ranking. The ranking is the highest ever for the Beavers.
OSU (38-10) remains in sole possession of first place in the Pacific-10 Conference standings with an 11-4 record. With their upset victory over No. 2 ranked University of Arizona on Sunday, the Beavers are guaranteed to finish above .500 in Pac-10 play for the first time in program history.
Oregon State heads to the Bay Area this week, facing No. 3 ranked University of California on Friday, before battling No. 4 ranked Stanford on Saturday and Sunday. All three games are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
The Beavers entered last week ranked No. 8 in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll. The new rankings are released on Wednesday afternoon.
