Baseball Selection Show Switched To ESPN
May 28, 2005
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Monday's television broadcast of the 64-team field and pairings for the NCAA Baseball Regionals has been moved to ESPN. The show will still air at 8:30 a.m. and fans are invited to join Oregon State's baseball team to watch the announcement. The Beavers will gather at 8 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, adjacent to the OSU campus.
Oregon State (41-9 overall, 19-5 Pacific-10) became assured of the outright Pac-10 championship and the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA tournament on Saturday when California defeated Arizona 6-3 in the first game of their weekend series in Tucson.
OSU is hoping to be selected as one of the 16 host schools for the NCAA Regionals. The sites for the NCAA Regionals will be announced Sunday at 12:30 p.m., and those picks will still be broadcast on ESPN2.
