Softball Ranked #7 In Latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oregon State's softball team climbed two spots in the April 18-24 ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll to garner a No. 7 national ranking. The ranking is the highest ever for the Beavers.
OSU (35-8) remains in sole possession of first place in the Pacific-10 Conference standings with a 10-2 record. The Beavers have captured their seventh consecutive 30-win season and have won 29 of their last 31 games.
In its final week of regular season action at the OSU Softball Complex, the Beavers host Portland State in a non-conference double-header on Wednesday followed by a weekend series with the Arizona schools.
OSU entered last week ranked No. 11 in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll. The new rankings are released on Wednesday afternoon.
Prior to Tuesday, Oregon State's highest ranking in the national polls was No. 8 in the NFCA Top 25 on May 4, 1999.
