Athletic Department Presents Checks to OSU Charities

Proceeds from the spring game awarded to the Valley Library and OSU Marching Band.

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State University Department of Athletics has presented checks for $9,200 each to the school's Valley Library and the OSU Marching Band. The funds were raised by ticket sales from the football program's annual spring game, held May 1 at Reser Stadium.

A "Beaver Nation" crowd of 8,340 witnessed the final scrimmage of the spring session. The day also marked the official groundbreaking for the expansion of Reser Stadium.

Practice for the 2004 season resumes August 11.
