Lisa Allen Earns Second Team Pacific-10 Conference Softball All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State University's sophomore catcher Lisa Allen earned second team Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic Softball Team honors on Wednesday, as was announced by Commissioner Tom Hansen.
To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant substitute.
Allen, a sophomore from Canby, OR, holds a 3.19 GPA as an Exercise and Sport Science major. Allen started 70 games on the season for the Beavers and finished the year with a .289 batting average to go along with 37 RBI and a team-leading 11 home runs. Allen belted a home run in three straight games and went deep in five of seven contests to open the month of April.
