David Lucas Named to All-Conference Team

Corvallis, Ore. - Junior forward David Lucas of the Oregon State University men's basketball team has been selected to the All-Pacific-10 Conference team, league Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.
The 6-7 Tigard, Ore., native averaged a team-high 17.2 points (4th in the Pac-10). The former walk-on was also ninth in the conference for rebounds per game at 6.9 and fifth for free throw percentage at .816.
Lucas is the 57th Beaver to be selected to the all-conference team in league history.
Freshman center Kyle Jeffers was an honorable mention selection on the All-Freshman team. The 6-9 Jeffers, from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, Cal., averaged 5.1 points and 4.8 rebounds. Jeffers started 23 of the team's 28 games and also contributed a team-high 19 blocked shots, the third-highest total ever by a Beaver freshman.
