Six Gymnasts Named To Pac-10 All-Academic Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Six Beaver gymnasts were among the athletes honored on the Pacific-10's All-Academic Team, which was announced Thursday. Chrissy Lamun earned second team recognition, while five others were named honorable mention picks.
Lamun, a sophomore general science major, carries a 3.80 grade point average. An all-arounder with a high score of 39.300, Lamun has scored as high as 9.95 on beam and floor and 9.925 on bars this season. She has won five individual titles, with two apiece on beam and floor and one on bars.
Earning honorable mention recognition were Heidi Goehring (junior/merchandising management), Heather Justus (junior/exercise and sport science), Tanya Ricioli-Hebron (senior/applied visual arts), Th?r?se Videan (junior/business administration) and Elaine Yoder (senior/exercise and sport science).
In order to be eligible for the team, an athlete must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, be a significant contributor to the team and be in at least her second year of school.
Justus, Videan and Yoder were honored by the league for the second time, while Goehring, Lamun and Ricioli-Hebron earned Pac-10 All-Academic honors for the first time in their careers.
