Tom Fregoso Named Athletic Trainer

Corvallis, Ore. - Tom Fregoso has been named assistant athletic trainer at Oregon State University, it was announced Friday. Fregoso replaces the recently departed Kimberly Frostad.
Fregoso will serve in several capacities within the training department, with a day-to-day emphasis with the women's soccer program.
Fregoso has spent the last 19 years as the head trainer at the University of Portland, specifically working with the men's soccer and men's basketball programs. He oversaw the entire training staff for the 16-team intercollegiate sports program.
The University of Utah graduate is a trainer for the U.S. Soccer Federation and has served as a trainer in the Continental Indoor Soccer League, the U.S. Olympics Sports Festival, the Portland Trail Blazers rookie camp, and at several NCAA Championships. He also has experience working within the men's U-23 and boys U-16 U.S. soccer programs.
Fregoso earned a bachelor's degree in sports sciences from Utah in 1981 and a master's degree in sports psychology from Portland in 1991. He spent two years as an assistant trainer at Utah following his graduation.
He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.
