Beavers Add Another Baseball Game
May 7, 2003
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State has added another game to its baseball schedule this week. The Beavers will host George Fox on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field in a non-league contest. Admission will be free, and the game will not be broadcast on KEJO-AM (1240).
OSU (20-24 overall, 5-13 Pacific-10) had room to add this week's games to its schedule because of rained-out games from earlier this season. The Beavers have yet to announce the date that Portland will come to Corvallis to play the completion of a game suspended due to rain April 1 and then make up a game that was rained out March 4.
George Fox (29-10, 18-5 Northwest) won the Northwest Conference title and begins play in the NCAA Division III Regionals on May 15.
OSU returns to Pac-10 play with its final home series of the conference season against third-ranked Arizona State. Due to ASU's final exams schedule, the Beavers and Sun Devils will play a Monday-through-Wednesday series with games May 12 at 5 p.m., May 13 at 5 p.m. and May 14 at 4 p.m. Those games will be broadcast on KEJO-AM (1240).
