Steven Jackson Named First Team Preseason All-America

Corvallis, Ore. - Oregon State University junior running back Steven Jackson has been selected to the College Football News Preseason All-America team.
The Las Vegas, Nev., native rushed for a Pac-10 Conference high and OSU record 1,690 yards in 2002. He also added a school record of nine games of rushing for 100-plus yards and scored a Pac-10 season-high 17 touchdowns. Jackson was selected to several All-America teams last season and earned first team All-Pac-10.
Ohio State's Maurice Clarett joins Jackson on the first team. Second team members include Anthony Davis of Wisconsin and Michael Turner of Northern Illinois.
