Two Beavers Named To Pac-10 Gymnastics All-Conference Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State's Elizabeth Jillson and Chrissy Lamun were among the gymnasts honored on the Pacific-10 Gymnastics All-Conference Team, which was announced by the league on Tuesday.
Jillson, a senior, was recognized on bars for the second year in a row. Lamun, a freshman, was honored for her work on floor.
The All-Pac-10 Team is made up of six all-arounders and three gymnasts on each of the four individual events. The team is determined by a combination of scores at the Pacific-10 Championships and Regional Qualifying Scores prior to the conference championship meet, with each weighing 50 percent.
Jillson tied for first on bars with her first career 10.0 at the Pacific-10 Championships to become the fifth Beaver to achieve a perfect score on bars and the fifth to win a conference title on the event. Prior to Pac-10s, she had scored a 9.90 or better five times, with a high of 9.95 twice. After winning Pac-10s, she has five victories on bars this season.
Lamun also turned in her first perfect score at Pac-10s, sharing the conference title on floor with a 10.0. She's the third Beaver to score a 10.0 on floor and the fifth to win a Pac-10 title on the event. In addition, she became the first OSU gymnast to receive a perfect score as a freshman and the second Beaver to win a Pac-10 title as a rookie. During the regular season, she had scored a 9.90 or better four times, with a high of 9.95. Including her win at Pac-10s, Lamun has placed first on floor five times this year.
Oregon State has received 49 All-Pac-10 honors since 1988.
