OSU Will Compete In Evening Session At NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS - The Oregon State gymnastics team will be among the six teams competing in the evening session of the preliminary team competition at the NCAA Gymnastics Championships later this month.
OSU advanced to nationals for the third year in a row after placing second with a season-high 196.800 in Saturday's NCAA West Regional.
The NCAA Championships will be held April 18-20 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., at the University of Alabama. The preliminary team competition will take place on Thursday, April 18.
The Beavers will be joined by host Alabama, UCLA, Florida, Minnesota and Stanford in the evening session, which will begin at 5 p.m. PDT. Arizona, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska and Utah will compete in the afternoon session, which will take place at 11 a.m. PDT.
OSU will begin the competition on floor exercise, the same event the Beavers set a school record on with a 49.625 at the regional meet. OSU will then compete on vault, followed by a bye, then bars and beam before ending the competition with another bye.
The top three teams from each session will advance to the Super Six on Friday, April 19. Individual event finals will be held Saturday, April 20.
