April 3, 2002
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State juniors Annie Campbell and Elizabeth Jillson were among the gymnasts named to the 2002 Pacific-10 Gymnastics All-Conference Team.
Campbell earned all-conference honors as an all-arounder, while Jillson was recognized on bars.
The All-Pac-10 Team is made up of five all-arounders and three gymnasts on each of the four individual events. The team is determined by a combination of scores at the Pacific-10 Championships and Regional Qualifying Scores prior to the conference championship meet, with each weighing 50 percent.
Campbell placed 12th in the all-around at the Pacific-10 Championships, scoring a 38.825. She tied for third on both vault and floor with a pair of 9.925 marks on those events. During the regular season, she scored as high as 39.575 in the all-around and is averaging 39.053 in all-around competition. She ranks 12th in the nation on floor and is 23rd nationally on beam.
Jillson tied for fourth on bars with a 9.925 at the Pacific-10 meet. That score was Jillson's third 9.925 of the year on the event. She ranks 11th nationally on bars and has scored a 9.90 or higher seven times this season.
This is the first All-Pac-10 honor for both gymnasts. Oregon State has received 47 All-Pac-10 honors since 1988.
