Shannon Sorg Named To Pac-10 Conference All-Academic Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Sophomore third baseman Shannon Sorg was named to the second team Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic squad Monday, announced Commissioner Tom Hansen.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and be either a starter or a significant contributor.
Sorg maintains a 3.32 GPA while pursuing her degree in Pre-Communication. The former Tigard High grad, finished the season with a .203 batting average and five RBI. Sorg saw action in 43 games with 26 starts and was a perfect 1-for-1 from the plate in Oregon State's dominating 13-0 victory against Chattanooga in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
