Roos Named To All-America Squad

CORVALLIS, Ore. - - Oregon State senior women's rower Abby Roos has been named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-America Second-Team, it was announced Friday. The recipients for the All-America honors were selected from the five all-region first teams, which were announced in May.
Roos adds the All-America to a long list of honors earned at Oregon State, as the Newberg, Ore., native was also named a National Scholar Athlete and First-Team All-Pac-10 after her junior and senior seasons. She was a CRCA All-West Region First Teamer as a junior as well.
The All-Americans were chosen based on at least 75% participation in varsity eight races, varsity eight record, strength of schedule, nomination rank, coaches recommendation, 2K erg score, and being a member of the all-region first team.
