Corvallis, Ore. - As the excitement of the 2001 OSU football season approaches, what better way to start the "countdown to kick-off" then with a one-of-a-kind,10K,5k race/walk, full of Beaver pride and spirit! The races begin at 9 a.m.
As you near the finish line into Reser Stadium, wave to the OSU cheerleaders rooting you on, bask in the glory as you finish down the players ramp, through the inflatable football helmet, then smile! You're on the Jumbotron! Cross the finish line to the band playing the fight song and take your picture with Benny Beaver!
Congratulate yourself on a race well done and join in on a full day of festivities. Try-out the Fan Fair games, get autographs from the football team, and watch the 2001 Spring Football game! It's fun for the whole family! "This is a great opportunity for fans of all ages to enjoy a fun day of unique activities," Director of Athletics Mitch Barnhart said. "The Fun Run will help make it a tremendous day for young and old alike."
The 10K,5K run/walk will be held on flat, loop course around the beautiful Oregon State University campus.
