OSU Names Draper, Arvidson Athletes Of The Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Pitcher Crystal Draper and golfer Anthony Arvidson been named Oregon State's Athletes of the Week for their performances in competition during the week of April 9-15, it was announced Thursday.
Draper, a junior right-hander Hood River High School, pitched the Beavers to a 8-0 victory over Oregon in the first game of a doubleheader last Saturday in Eugene. Draper allowed just two hits in hurling the shutout. She also pitched one inning of relief in the second game. She struck out nine and didn't walk a batter. Draper has now moved into second place in OSU softball history with 50 career victories.
Arvidson, a senior from Beaverton and Sunset High School, tied for 15th at the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational golf tournament April 13-14. He shot five under par 211, which is the second lowest score on the Beaver squad this year and the fifth lowest three-round total in OSU history. Arvidson also has a 3.26 GPA in business administration.
