Katrina Severin Named All-Pac-10 On All Three Of Her Events.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State senior gymnast Katrina Severin has been named to the All-Pacific-10 Team on all three of the events she competes, the Pac-10 office announced Thursday.
Severin was honored on vault, beam and floor. This marks the first time Severin has made the all-conference team on any event.
She joins seven-time All-American Chari Knight as the only other OSU gymnast to receive on Pac-10 honors on three events in the same season. Knight was recognized on bars, beam, floor and all-around in 1992.
Severin, who was a second team All-American on beam last season, currently ranks in the top 25 nationally on all three of her events. She's fourth on vault, 12th on floor and 23rd on beam.
She's set career-highs on all three events this season and has scored a 9.90 or better a total of 22 times this year (nine on vault, nine on floor and four on beam). Severin scored a 10.0 on vault on Feb. 16 to become the second Beaver to perform a perfect vault. Her top score on floor is a 9.975, and her best beam score was a 9.95 at the Pac-10 Championships.
She's won 11 individual event titles this season, seven on vault and two apiece on beam and floor.
The All-Pac-10 Team is based 50 percent on scores from the Pac-10 Championships and 50 percent on gymnasts' regional qualifying scores prior to the conference meet. The top three gymnasts (plus ties) on each event are named to the All-Pac-10 Team. The top six all-arounders are also named all-conference.
Severin placed third on both vault and beam with scores of 9.95 at Pac-10s, and she was eighth on floor with a 9.925 score.
Severin was the only Pac-10 gymnast to be named all-conference on three individual events this season. However, Washington's Stacy Wong was named All-Pac-10 on two events plus the all-around. Wong was recognized on vault and bars to go along with her all-around honor.
