David Yarnes and Felicia Ragland Named Athletes of the Week

Corvallis, Ore. - Junior forward Felicia Ragland and junior golfer Dave Yarnes have been named Athletes of the Week at Oregon State for their performances in competition during the week of March 5-11.
Ragland scored 22 points and pulled down a career high 15 rebounds in Oregon State's 72-60 setback at the University of Oregon last Saturday in the Beavers' regular season finale. Ragland capped the week by being named the Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Year for women's basketball.
Ragland led the Pac-10 in scoring with a 19.9 average and pulled down an average of 7.5 rebounds.
Yarnes, a junior transfer form Pima J.C., won the Cleveland Golf Classic on March 6 at Westlake Village, Cal. He won the tournament by one stroke, edging out three other golfers by shooting an even par scored of 142 over 36 holes in the rain-shortened event. The win was the first Division I tournament victory for the Tucson, Arizona native.
In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Yarnes has a 3.46 GPA overall in Business Administration. Ragland, a native of Tulare, Cal., had a 3.23 GPA during fall term in pre-health promotion and education.
