Crystal Draper Named To All American Farm Team

DES MOINES, Iowa - Oregon State softball player Crystal Draper has been named to the New Dodge All American Farm Team for softball.
The All American Farm Team, sponsored by Dodge Truck and Successful Farming magazine, is a program that honors outstanding student-athletes who come from a farming or ranching background.
Draper, a sophomore from Parkdale, Ore., was one of five athletes selected to the first team. There is also a second team and honorable mention category.
Draper boasts a 12-5 record with a 2.13 ERA for the Beavers this season. She was an honorable mention All-Pacific-10 pitcher in 1999.
Teisha Smith of Saint Mary's University in Minnesota was named the team captain of the first team. Rhonda Brown (Augustana College), Brooke Gocke (Doane College) and Trinette Cossa (C.W. Post) were the other first team picks.
First team recipients receive a plaque, and their universities receive a $500 scholarship in the athlete's name.
