Felicia Ragland of the Women's Basketball Team Invited to Summer Camp

Corvallis, Ore. - Felicia Ragland, a two-year starter at forward for the Oregon State women's basketball team, has been selected to participate in the 2000 USA Basketball Women's Summer Development Camp/R. William Jones Cup Team Trials, it was announced Wednesday.
Forty-five of the country's top female collegiate basketball players, including 15 with USA Basketball experience, have been invited to attend the trials May 17-22 in Colorado Springs, Colo., the USA Basketball Women's Select Team Committee announced.
The USA Basketball Jones Cup squad will be coached by Virginia Tech head mentor Bonnie Henrickson, who served as an assistant coach on the gold medal winning 1999 USA Basketball Women's World University Games squad. St. Joseph's head coach Stephanie Gaitley and Grambling State head coach David "Rusty" Ponton have been slated as assistant coaches for the Jones Cup team.
The 12-member U.S. squad, which will be announced on May 22, will train July 3-12 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs before departing on July 13 for the Jones Cup Competition.
Ragland, 5-9, was OSU's leading scorer this past season, averaging 12.9 points per game and 6.2 rebounds. She was a first-team All-Pac-10 selection. She has started 56 of 57 career games for the Beavers and has scored 593 career points and pulled down 312 rebounds to date.
