OSU Breaks Record For Football Season Ticket Orders
May 17, 2000
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Oregon State established an all-time record for football season ticket sales in 1999 at 11,197 and the Beavers have already toppled that record, according to Director of Ticket Operations Joe Sharpe.
As of Wednesday, Oregon State has sold 11,385 season tickets. Based on where the Beavers are currently with season ticket sales, Sharpe is shooting for season ticket sales to reach 15,000 before the Beavers open the 2000 season on September 2 against Eastern Washington.
Reser Stadium holds 35,362.
The Beavers will host six games at Reser Stadium in 2000. In addition to Eastern Washington on September 2, OSU will also host San Diego State (Sept. 23), USC (Sept. 30), Stanford (Oct. 14), Washington State (Oct. 28) and the Civil War game with Oregon on November 18.
