Men's Golf Fourth after Two Rounds of Duck Invitational

The Oregon State University men's golf team shot rounds of 287 and 289 over the Shadow Hills Country Club course Monday, and are in fourth place at the Oregon Duck Invitational. The two-round score of 576 is even par, 13 shots back of No. 20 Washington.
Junior Anthony Arvidson is leading the way for the Beavers at 3-under 141. Arvidson, shot rounds of even par 72 and 3-under 69 to be in a five-way tie for fourth place. Fellow Beaver Tim Mickelson is also at 141, but he is playing as an individual and is a non-counter in the overall team score.
"Overall, we played pretty good," Beaver Head Coach Mike Ketcham said. "We just need to have a little better scoring from our fourth and fifth players in the lineup."
David Hearn of Wyoming and Scott Kral of Washington share the individual lead at 138. Hearn was one of four players to shoot 68, the low round for the day.
"We have been firing our best score in these tournaments the final day," Ketcham said. "This team really enjoys playing on the last day, hopefully the trend will continue."
The Huskies will take and eight shot lead into the final round over second-place and the host University of Oregon. The University of The Pacific is third at 574, followed by OSU, and Long Beach State at 581.
Other Oregon State scores include Bryan Geiberger and Eric Dahm is tied for 67th at 153, and Chance Holmes is tied for 69th at 154. Deacon, Hudson, and Holmes are also playing as individuals.
The final round will be played Tuesday.
