Beavers rained out of tourney opener

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Oregon State's opening game at the Continental Express Classic baseball tournament against Central Michigan was rained out Friday. The day's other game between Texas A&M and Ohio State was also rained out.
Both games were rescheduled for Sunday, with OSU (10-7 overall, 0-0 Pacific-10) meeting Central Michigan at 8 a.m. PST. With all four tourney teams now forced to play six games in three days, all tournament games have been set for seven innings.
The Beavers are now set to open the Continental Express Classic on Saturday with games against Ohio State at 8 a.m. PST and host Texas A&M at 6 p.m. PST. On Sunday, Oregon State will play Central Michigan at 8 a.m. PST and Ohio State at 11 a.m. PST., on Monday, OSU concludes the tournament by playing Central Michigan at 11 a.m. PST and Texas A&M at 2 p.m. PST.
Oregon State has won nine of its last 11 games going into the Continental Express Classic. After the tournament, the Beavers are at Portland on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. game and then play host to Cal State-Northridge in a four-game series March 24-26 at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
