Beaver Fun Run Set For April 29
As you near the finish line into Reser Stadium, wave to the OSU cheerleaders rooting you on, bask in the glory as you finish down the players ramp, through the inflatable football helmet, then smile! You?re on the Jumbotron! Cross the finish line to the band playing the fight song and take your picture with Benny the Beaver!
Congratulate yourself on a race well done and join in on a full day of festivities. Try-out the Fan Fair games, get autographs from the football team, and watch the 2000 Spring Football game! Kick-off Saturday 1:00pm. It?s fun for the whole family!
Date: Saturday, April 29, 2000 - in conjunction with the OSU Spring Football game. 5K run/walk will start at 9:30am. Kids 1000 meters will begin at 9:45am.
Location/Course: 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) will be held on flat, loop course around the beautiful OSU campus. Both races will start at Gate 7 outside of Reser Stadium adjacent to Gill Coliseum on Ralph Miller Dr. and finish inside Reser Stadium. Water will be available at the finish of both races. Restrooms are available in Gill Coliseum. Kids 1000 meters race is for kids 12 and under only.
Registration: Pre-registration - Entries received before Friday, April 14th at 5pm are as follows: 5K - $18 with long sleeve t-shirt, $10 without t-shirt -- Kids 1000 meters - $10 with t-shirt, $2 without. Late registration and day of race - Entries received after Friday, April 14th at 5:00pm will be considered late. Fees are $25 with t-shirt or $10 without a t-shirt. Late shirt orders will not be available on the day of the race. Late shirt orders may be picked up at the OSU Marketing office, 100 Gill Coliseum, Friday, June 2nd from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Day of race registration is from 7:30am - 9:00am outside of Gate 7 Reser Stadium.
Race Packets: Pre-registration packets and t-shirts can be picked up on Thursday, April 27th and Friday, April 28th from 10:00am - 5:00pm in the OSU Marketing office at 100 Gill Coliseum. Late registration packet pick up will begin on race day at Reser Stadium, outside of Gate 7, beginning at 7:30am.
Divisions: will be determined by 5k male and female and the following age categories: 5K: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60. Kids 1000 meters: 5 & under, 6-9, & 10-12.
Awards: The awards ceremony will be at 11:30am on the field of Reser Stadium. Awards will go to the overall male & female finisher, as well as 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in each age category. Race results will be available on site and at www.osubeavers.com
Other: Due to stadium policy, no dogs are allowed. Please do not leave any personal belongings in or around Reser Stadium. We are not responsible for losses.
