Women's Basketball Players Achieve Postseason Honors

Corvallis, Ore. - Oregon State University women's basketball senior center Sissel Pierce and sophomore guard Felicia Ragland have been selected to the 10-member Pacific-10 All-Conference First Team, it was announced Sun., March 12 by the league commissioner Tom Hansen.
Pierce, a native of Aberdeen, Wash., co-led the team in scoring at 12.9 points per game. She ranks second in the NCAA for blocked shots per game at 2.9, and she broke the OSU career record with 185 rejections, the single season record this year with 85, and in one game with eight. She also was among the conference leaders for scoring (12.9), field goal percentage (.520), and rebounding (6.6).
Ragland, a native of Tulare, Cal., shared the team's scoring load at 12.9 per game. She ranks sixth in the Pac-10 for scoring, fourth for steals (2.1) and eighth for rebounding (6.2). Ragland, who was the only Beaver to start all 30 games this season, also was the team leader for three-point field goals (28) and assists (86).
Freshman guard Nicole Funn from Carson, Cal., also landed on the Pac-10 Conference Honorable Mention All-Freshman team. Funn, who played in every game, averaged 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this season.
