Beavers are No. 25 in final poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State was ranked 25th in the final National Wrestling Coaches Association poll of the season, which was released Wednesday. The Beavers (10-7 overall, 6-3 Pacific-10), who placed third in last weekend's Pacific-10 Championships, will send six wrestlers to the NCAA Championships later this month and three of those OSU entrants are nationally-ranked.
Representing Oregon State at the NCAA meet March 16-18 in St. Louis will be 125-pounder Nathan Navarro, 133-pounder Ben Richards, 141-pounder Shane Cunanan, 157-pounder Eric Jorgensen, 174-pounder Nathan Coy and heavyweight Jason Cooley.
Jorgensen, who placed second in the Pac-10, is 28-4 this season with five pins. He is ranked fifth nationally by Amateur Wrestling News and seventh by InterMat.
Cooley, who won the Pac-10 title, is 24-6 this season with two pins. He is ranked 12th nationally by AWN and 14th by IM.
Navarro, who placed fourth in the Pac-10, is 19-12 this season with two pins. He is ranked 18th nationally by AWN and 20th by IM.
Coy, who placed second in the Pac-10, is 20-11 this season with no pins. Cunanan, who placed second in the Pac-10, is 14-14 this season with four pins. Richards, who placed third in the Pac-10, is 16-11 with two pins.
