Women's Golfer to Compete in Asia

Corvallis, Ore. - Corvallis - Oregon State University Assistant Womens Golf Coach Charles Kingsbaker and senior player Anjeanette Dabbs have been selected to be members of the Pacific-10 Conference womens golf All-Star team that will be competing this summer in Asia.
Kingsbaker, who was a four-year letterwinner for the Oregon State mens golf team, just completed his first year as an assistant to Rise Lakowske on the womens team. He competed one summer on the Pac-10 Conference mens golf all-star team. Kingsbaker is Oregon States record holder for lowest competitive round, shooting a 64 at the Southwestern Intercollegiate in April of last year.
Dabbs was second for the team in scoring this season, finishing with an average of 76.9 strokes per round. She was the medalist of the Pepperdine Invitational and earned Pac-10 Conference Honorable Mention acclaim. Dabbs finished in the top 20 in six tournaments for the season.
Joining Kingsbaker and Dabbs on the team are Jessica Belskis of Stanford, Angie Cates of Washington State, Mendy Cooper of Washington, Linda Ishii of USC, Christina Monteiro of Arizona, Paula Patterson of Oregon, and Amandine Vincent of UCLA. Patterson finished the year No. 33 in the nation in the individual rankings.
The team will leave Los Angeles June 30 and return July 28. The trip includes 19 tournaments throughout Japan, Korea and China.
