Oregon State Rained Out of Baseball Opener against Arizona
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The opening game of Oregon State's baseball series against 10th-ranked Arizona was rained out Friday afternoon at Coleman Field. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday.
OSU and Arizona will play single game at 1 p.m. Saturday, and it will be televised live nationally on Fox Sports Net. The Beavers and Wildcats will play their doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The series is Les Schwab Youth Days; kids age 18 and under can stop by either Corvallis location of Les Schwab Tires and pick up a free ticket good for admission to any of the games, plus a free hot dog and a soft drink at Coleman Field. Saturday will be Les Schwab Sunglasses Day, with the first 450 kids age 18 and under getting a free pair of sunglasses. Sunday will be Cellular One Sports Bottle Day, with the first 100 fans getting a free sports bottle.
