Women's Golf Finishes 11th in Tucson

Tucson, Ariz. - Anjeanette Dabbs shot a final round 1-over-par 73 to help the No.14 Oregon State womens golf team finish 11th at the Arizona Ping Intercollegiate. The Beavers finished the 54-hole event at 902, including a final round 299.
"The 299 is a good score today," OSU Head Coach Rise Lakowske said. "The golf course played a little different today with some wind."
Andrea Hehn was the top individual for OSU, finishing tied for 22nd at 221. Hehn put together rounds of 74, 71 and 76 and the Randolph Park Golf Course. The rest of the Beaver contingent included Kathleen Takaishi tied for 36th at 224, Anne Brooksby tied for 63rd at 231, Anjeanette Dabbs tied for 65th at 232, and Rachel Borcherts was 70th at 234.
"We didnt play as well as I would have liked, but I have to remember this was our first event of the spring," Lakowske added. "Most of these teams have already played one tournament, and this is one of the strongest fields of any tournament in the nation this year."
The No. 2 Arizona Wildcats won the event at 854, nine shots better than top-ranked Duke. Arizona State and Tulsa finished third and fourth, respectively. Grace Park of Arizona State captured the individual title at 206, four shots ahead of Stacy Prammanasudh of Tulsa.
Oregon State returns to action Mar 19-21 at the Gamecock Classic in Columbia, South Carolina.
