Men's Golf Finishes Third at Duck Invitational

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State University mens golf number one team shot a final round 300 and finished third at the Duck Invitational at the Eugene Country Club. The Beavers concluded the event with a 54-hole total of 890, 26 over par.
Freshman John Lepak shot a 1-under-71 in the final round, the best OSU score for the day, and ended the tournament at 2-over 218. Lepak tied for fourth with two other players, three shots back of a trio at 215. Oregons Adrian Burtner won in the second playoff hole, defeating teammate Ben Crane and Arizona States Matt Jones.
The Oregon State number two squad shot a final round 304 and tied for eighth with Nevada. Kyle Hudson and Bryan Geiberger led the second team, tying for 24th at 227.
The host Oregon Ducks won the tournament by seven shots at 5-over 869. Arizona State finished second at 12-over.
The rest of the Oregon State team finished as follows: Anthony Arvidson was 13th at 223;, Justin Johnson tied for 18th at 225, Eric Dahm tied for 20th at 226, Kyle Hudson and Bryan Geiberger tied for 24th at 227, Ryan Nomura tied for 35th at 229, Dustin Wayne tied for 41st at 231, Todd Deacon was 55th at 235, Brodie Jordan was 61st at 237, David Crowell tied for 68th at 239, and Jason Adams tied for 78th at 244.
Oregon State returns to action April 5-6 at the Western Intercollegiate in San Jose, Cal.
