Summer Wrestling Clinics Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State assistant wrestling coach Les Gutches, the 1997 world freestyle champion, will hold a series of three Gold Medal Wrestling Clinics around the Oregon in July. The two-day clinics will be held July 3-4 in Medford, July 6-7 in Salem and July 10-11 in Newberg.
Instructors will include Gutches, two-time OSU All-American Oscar Wood, junior national champion Isaac Wood, junior national All-American Jim Kutz, All-American Scott Norton and cadet All-American Jason Gutches. The emphasis of the clinics will be on technique, so there will be no live wrestling.
The clinics will run from 4:30-6 p.m. on the first day and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on the second day. The cost is $75 per person. Camps will be held in Medford at South Medford High, in Salem at Sprague High, and in Newberg at Newberg High.
