Men's Golf Finishes 20th at U.S. Intercollegiate
STANFORD, Cal - The Oregon State men's golf team shot a final round 302, its best of the tournament, but failed to move up in the standings and finished 20th at the U.S. Intercollegiate. The Beavers shot a three-round total of 917 over the Stanford Golf Course.
UCLA captured the team title at 877. Washington placed second, four shots back, and the University of The Pacific and USC tied for third. Eric Fiskum led Oregon State, tying for 52nd place at 15-over-par 228. Fiskum shot rounds of 75, 77 and 76 over the par 71 course. Justin Johnson tied for 61st at 230, Chris Janson and Anthony Arvidson tied for 69th at 232 and Eric Dahm tied for 89th at 237. Janson and Dahm each shot final rounds of 75, the best scores for OSU.
Rich Barcelo of Nevada and Herbert Foster of Pacific shared medalist honors at 1-over-par 214.
Oregon State returns to action April 18-19 at the Arizona State/SAVANE Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe. The tournament is the final regular season event of the year.
