Beavers Third at Duck Invitational

Eugene, Ore. - Oregon State University's Anthony Arvidson shot rounds of 1-under-71 and 1-over-73 in the first day of the Duck Invitational, and is in third place at 144. The tournament is being held at the Eugene Country Club.
Arvidson's opening round 71 was the second lowest for the first 18. He will enter the final round four shots behind Oregon's Adrian Burtner. Burtner shot a 69 in the second round, the best for the day.
The number one Oregon State team is in third-place at 14-over 590. The Beavers shot rounds of 293 and 297, and trail the host Ducks by 10 shots. The Beavers' 293 was good enough to share the first round lead with Colorado State. Oregon fired a 281, the lowest team score by 11 shots for the day, to have a nine stroke advantage over second-place Arizona State.
Oregon State's other scores for the first team include John Lepak tied for seventh at 147, Justin Johnson is tied for 13th at 149, Dustin Wayne is tied for 17th at 150, Eric Dahm is tied for 24th at 152, and Corvallis' David Crowell is tied for 63rd at 160.
The Beavers' second team is ninth at 609, and were led in scoring by Bryan Geiberger's 7-over total of 151. Geiberger, who is tied for 20th, is followed by Kyle Hudson who is tied for 38th at 153, Brodie Jordan is tied for 43rd at 154, Ryan Nomura and Todd Deacon are tied for 46th at 155, and Jason Adams is tied for 67th at 161.
The final round will be held Tuesday, beginning at 8 a.m.
