Oregon State Finishes Ninth at Pacific-10 Meet

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Oregon State put six new entries on its all-time womens swimming top ten lists Saturday on the third and final day of the Pacific-10 Championships at the Weyerhauser/King County Aquatic Center. The Beavers finished in ninth place; Stanford won with 1533 points.
OSU did not place anyone in any of the five individual events. However, four Beavers did manage to swim their way to the super-consolation round: Sarah Cohen, Arianna Higuera, Amy Imwalle, and Dana Stoddard.
Cohens mark of 2 minutes, 21.70 seconds in the 200-yard breastroke earned her 20th at the meet and second on the schools all-time list, moving her up four spots. Kristin Severance also improved her all-time mark in the event with a 2:25.42, putting her 25th at the meet and up two places on the school list to fifth.
Higueras time of 52.34 seconds in the 100 freestyle earned her 21st at the meet, as well as improved her fifth place time on the OSU list.
Imwalles 17:28.21 in the 1650 freestyle placed her 20th at the Pac-10 meet and moved her up to third on the schools list for that event. Stoddards time of 17:35.08 earned her 22nd at the meet and fourth on the Beaver list behind Imwalle.
Kyla Bond finished the 200 backstroke in 2:09.38, good enough for 33rd at the meet and fifth on the schools top times.
